Year 2022 has been quite busy with plenty of changes for Finnish Plastics Recycling Ltd. Thank you to all our stakeholders for the past year! Now it is time for some rest and relaxation.
During the past year we have, among other things, revised our strategy. It now emphasizes our three values: executor, integrator and developer.
As an executor, we carry out our task and openly communicate about it. As an integrator, our goal is to act as a link between different stakeholders throughout the packaging value chain. As a developer, we are looking at how to link everything together and develop the entire industry. Here at Finnish Plastics Recycling Ltd we truly want to improve matters. We want to figure out how to bring environmental and cost benefits to the entire packaging value chain.
Little by little we have been preparing for our future role as a multi-material producer organization. We have proceeded step by step, and our organization has gradually grown. We have realized that this is a big change for us that requires a lot from the whole organization.
We have already reached some milestones: negotiations over a recycling point network with Rinki have been concluded, and from now on we will share a common network. Negotiations regarding an agreement for collection from properties are progressing well. We have also started negotiations with the producer community regarding a clearing contract, i.e., how shared costs will be divided. We are also expecting a multi-material producer organization status from the Pirkanmaa ELY Centre soon.
