The 2025 recycling fee price lists for packaging producer organizations were published on October 1st, 2024. In the price comparison, Sumi was ranked as the most affordable option for small producers (under 50,000 kg) who report using the simplified reporting model, mainly for fiber-based and plastic packaging. This reporting model applies to the majority of Finnish companies.
For larger producers (over 50,000 kg) reporting with the basic notification form, Sumi is significantly more affordable in consumer packaging classes A and B, which include corrugated cardboard, carton, paper, and liquid packaging board, made from one or more materials.
For wooden packaging, such as EUR and FIN pallets, Sumi is over 6% cheaper. Regarding recycling fees for plastic packaging, both producer organizations are at the same price level.
