Sumi strengthens its organization – Teemu Simola appointed Chief Operating Officer at Sumi

Sumi has appointed Teemu Simola as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 June 2026.

In his role, Simola will be responsible for developing Sumi’s operations, supporting the company’s growth, and helping to advance its strategic priorities. He joins Sumi from TD SYNNEX Oy, where he led IT Circular Economy Services across the Nordic region. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of Inrego Oy, a company specializing in IT equipment reuse services.

New role supports Sumi’s growth  

The appointment strengthens Sumi’s ability to respond to the changing needs of producers and further develop services that create value beyond statutory producer responsibility obligations. The role also supports Sumi’s goal of strengthening its position as an expert in the packaging producer responsibility field and creates even better conditions for advancing the company’s business operations.
